Useful Abstract Submission Tips
Abstract Submission Information can be found at http://www.aps.org/meetings/abstract/instructions.cfm
To speed up the submission process:
- Select the "20th Biennial Conference of the APS Topical Group on Shock Compression of Condensed Matter" checkbox at the beginning of abstract submission.
- Know the number and order of authors and collaborators.
- Proofread your draft of the abstract body (contributed abstract body text is limited to approximately 1300 characters).
- Know your technical area or focus topic; see their description at the Scientific Program page.
- Choose whether you will use:
- LaTeX format http://www.aps.org/meetings/abstract/latex.cfm. LaTeX is for straight TeX only. You can also use this option if your abstract is in plain text (no equations or symbols that require LaTeX formatting).
- Microsoft Word Submission (RTF) Template http://www.aps.org/ meetings/abstract/rtf.cfm. RTF allows you to submit Rich Text Format files created with MS Word, using either the Equation Editor 3.0 and/or MathType. Avoid using MS Wordpad or TextEdit (Mac) to edit the RTF template as both are known to cause problems with the submission
